BLUE is a ready-to-use, extremely-fast-exposing SBQ-photopolymer direct emulsion formulated for imprinted sportswear printing. It resists plastisol inks—including newer, more aggressive, post-phthalate plastisols—and most washup solvents, making it exceptionally easy to reclaim in automatic equipment or by hand. BLUE is especially efficient with fixed or scanning LED units, as well as with fluorescent tubes or other low-intensity light sources, or in shops that need high stencil making throughput. BLUE has high viscosity (6,000 – 8,000 centipoise) that improves control when coating screens by hand. It affords exceptional EOM (emulsion over mesh thickness) build per coat, better mesh bridging--especially on coarse mesh--good edge definition, and fast drying. BLUE stencils are durable, will not become tacky under high humidity conditions, have excellent wet strength, and are easy to wash out.

Ulano Platinum is a ready-to-use SBQ-photopolymer direct emulsion formulated for imprinted sportswear printing and other markets (tbc). It resists plastisol inks—including newer, more aggressive, post-phthalate plastisols—and most washup solvents, making it easy to reclaim in automatic equipment or by hand. It is formulated with a gray color that reduces light scattering throughout all spectral range —the major cause of loss of resolution.  Such gray coloration is innovative way for Ulano to further expand the spectrum of possible stencil colorations, where not only it benefits emulsion cosmetically, but also functionally. Such coloration combines good contrast with easy see-through. It is well suited for the certain computer to screen systems, as even with the short pixilated exposures, the stencil, due to innovative gray coloration exposes through well throughout the thickness of the stencils, forming dense crosslinking on the squeegee side of the screen. Such coloration combines good contrast with fairly easy see-through.

With Platinum, it is possible to use less costly white mesh without the closing up of fine lines and details.

Despite its anti-halation color, Platinum is ultra-fast-exposing!  It is perfect for shops with high stencil making throughput, as well as shops with fluorescent tubes or other low-intensity light sources.

Platinum has high viscosity (8,000 – 10,000 centipoises) that improves control when coating screens by hand and makes it a good choice for coarse mesh.  Its high solids content (40-41%) results in better mesh bridging and edge definition, and fast drying.  Platinum stencils are durable, will not become tacky under high humidity conditions, and have excellent wet strength and exposure latitude.  Platinum reduces stencil-making time—in coating (because of its high viscosity), drying (due to its high solids), and exposure (due to its high photo-sensitivity despite its “masking color”).

Platinum Violet is a ready-to-use, SBQ-photopolymer direct emulsion for imprinted sportswear printing with plastisols, including aggressive post-phthalate formulations. With the addition of its optional diazo, Platinum Violet resists water-based and discharge inks. Its high viscosity (12,000 – 14,000 centipoise at 25º C.) provides good coating control, even on coarse mesh. Its high solids content (≈ 42 %) facilitates fast drying, good buildup of EOM (emulsion thickness over mesh) per coating stroke and, thus, good printed edge definition. Platinum Violet is formulated for compatibility with CTS (computer-to-screen) exposure, and automated washout and reclaiming equipment. Used with plastisols, it does not require any sensitizers or additives; it is presensitized and premixed.

We introduced QLT in April, 2008 as an ultra-fast SBQ textile emulsion with high viscosity
( + 6500 CPS) and solids ( + 43%). Almost as an afterthought, we mentioned that it resists most washup solvents. That has proved to be a key feature now that many ink manufacturers are reformulating plastisols to eliminate phthalates as plasticizers. As it happens, the replacement plasticizers contain more aggressive solvents. QLT is quickly gaining new imprinted sportswear customers who now require an emulsion with better solvent resistance.
