QT-DISCHARGE is specially formulated to resist discharge inks and is compatible with water-based and plastisol inks too. It requires fewer coats than 925WR or 995WR, dries more quickly, and exposes faster. QT-DISCHARGE has a high (45%) solids content, providing good stencil build per coat, excellent mesh bridging of coarse mesh, and fast drying. It utilizes a powder diazo (rather than 925WR's syrup), and requires no UPS shipping up-charge.

Shares the main characteristics of Ulano's TZ emulsions, but with a higher solids content and even better resolution, edge definition, and exposure latitude.

Stencils produced with 925WR/995WR are completely water resistant and very durable.

925WR/995WR comes with a syrup diazo sensitizer, for faster and surer mixing. Recommended for imprinted sportswear applications. PHTHALATE-FREE

Clear versions without dye

925WR/CL and 995WR are the same as 925WR/995WR, but supplied clear for easier see-through registration.

TZ Ulano's blue TZ emulsions are formulated for use with water-based inks, water dyes and plastisols. TZ produces stencils with excellent mechanical resistance, good resolution and edge definition, and excellent water resistance. Stencils are easy to reclaim. Recommended for imprinted sportswear applications.

TZ/CL Same as TZ, but supplied clear for easier see-through registration. (Separate blue color supplied with purchase.)

DLX is formulated to reduce acrylate odor and eliminate the surface oiliness that are characteristic of most dual-cure emulsions, especially under hot and humid conditions. As a result, positives are less likely to stick to the emulsion surface. Dries quickly because of its 38% solids content.

Olive-grey 40%

DP-790 is an olive-grey, enhanced dual-cure emulsion formulated for use with industrial etchants, and with abrasive, frit-containing inks for ceramics and glass. Because of its mechanical durability, DP-790 is also well suited to lengthy textile printing runs using discharge and other water-based textile inks. It has 40% solids content (unsensitized) and a viscosity of 8200 centipoise (sensitized).

LX-892 is formulated for direct printing on tile, ceramics, glass as well as imprinted sportswear. It is both water and solvent resistant. Mechanical resistance and printing runs can be enhanced considerably by chemical hardening with Hardener X, though such treatment will render the stencil "permanent" and it will be virtually impossible to reclaim.

LX-892 is violet, and turns brown when sensitized. Properly exposed, LX-892 will revert back to its original violet color, serving as a built-in indicator of proper exposure.

Chemically curable dual-cure photoemulsion

ULANO LX-892 is used for the production of high-quality, water and solvent resistant screen and textile printing stencils. The print run resistance can considerably be increased by chemical hardening with HARDENER Z. Before hardening, ULANO LX-892 is decoatable. ULANO LX-892 is mainly used for textile and ceramic printing.

SENSITIZING With DIAZO W 1

COATING
The coating of the screen generally begins from the printing side in order to fill the mesh openings. Only then begin with the emulsion build-up from the squeegee side, e.g. 2-1, 2-2, 2-3,... The use of an automatic coating machine is especially recommended because it achieves an even and reproducible coating result.
DRYING
The screen must be dried thoroughly before exposing to achieve the highest ink resistance. This should preferably be done in a dust-free drying chamber with fresh air inlet at temperatures of between 35 - 40°C.
EXPOSURE
The stencil is created by UV-light hardening of the non-printing stencil parts. Expose with blue actinic light at a wave length of 350 - 420 nm. A metal halide lamp provides the best results. Due to the many variables that determine the actual exposure time, accurate exposure times cannot be given. Optimum copying results can only be achieved by trials (step exposure). For best resistances, please choose an exposure time which is as long as possible. This maximum exposure time must still allow reproduction of details. This is especially important when water based printing inks are used, as the required ink resistance in this case will be achieved by a higher exposure time.
Light source
5000 W metal halide lamp at a distance of 1 m. Coating with V2A-coating trough, once from the printing side, once from the squeegee side (1-1).
Average exposure time
77 - 55 (T) white 50 sec
51 - 70 (T) white 70 sec
43 - 80 (T) white 90 sec
HARDENING
Depending on the printing resistance required, various hardeners are suitable. Usually HARDENER Z is used which is free from solids. For special requirements, other hardeners can also be used. For further information contact your ULANO distributor or ULANO direct.
NOTICE
Please note that the printing resistance of a screen and textile printing stencil is influenced by a lot of parameters e.g. mesh, coating technique, drying, exposure time etc. Furthermore, a lot of printing media and printing machines are being used in practice which have not all been tested by us. Therefore, please accept our offer and test the suitability of our products by asking for free-of-charge emulsion samples, as we can only guarantee a constant quality according to our own working conditions.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

STORAGE
Unsensitized: 1 year. Protect against freezing. (20 - 25 °C)
Sensitized: approx. 4 weeks
Screens coated in advance: approx. 1 week at 20 - 25°C and in complete darkness

With longer storage of precoated screens the copying material can absorb humidity from the environment. It is therefore advisable to dry again prior to copying.
